The Inner Machine [Live AV Performance]

This is an attempt to combine my fascination in machines with a desire to do a live realtime video performance.

A Live Laboratory where the operation of lab equipment becomes an audiovisual performance. Hand-made, hand-powered machines that resemble the display panels of oscilloscopes, radars and obsolete NASA technology. The awkward and mechanical nature of their operation (on-stage) contrasts with the sophisticated appearance of their illuminated surface panels (on-screen). Studio Photo

On stage: a wooden control panel, machines and boiler-suited technician. On screen: live video feeds. Side stage: live soundtrack performance. A collaboration between Ian Clutterbuck (aka VJ Fieldov) and musicians Dan Powell (Blinker) and Will Seelig (Onega Soundsystem).
